Mimi Syjuco

ADHD Coach • Counsellor • Life Coach

Hello! I’m Mimi…

I am a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming counselor and life coach and my goal is to walk with you on the path of healing, positive change, empowerment and well-being. My own experience of going through a difficult time without therapeutic support led me to this work. There are days in life when we may need a safe space and a warm, open-hearted listener to support us as we heal, discover our life’s purpose and achieve our best dreams. I would like to be that person for you.

“How liberating it is to pursue wholeness instead of perfection.”
– Morgan Harper Nichols

Who do I work with?

Counselling Teens and Young Adults:

Transitions, school work and dynamics, friends and frenemies, dating, big exams, looking/ being/ getting it “perfect”, adjusting to N.S. or university, “why am I so fill-in-the-blank?” I get it! These are not always easy waves to surf. As a former educator and international school counselor, I understand the importance of supporting teens and young adults in identifying and navigating challenges that are keeping them from living their most awesome life.

Counselling Adults:

Is stress, anxiety or low moods getting in the way of pursuing your life goals? Do you sense that there may be past experiences affecting your present life or relationships? Are there life events that you want to sort out and process? Do you feel that unlearning past programming will help you in becoming who you truly are? Are you feeling empty and disconnected in a “dark night of the soul” or confused by the rollercoaster ride of dating and relationships? These are some of the questions and topics that my clients bring to therapy. My job is to meet you where you’re at, guide and support you in the work of crossing the gap to where you want to be.

ADHD Life Coaching:

Have you just received a diagnosis and you are finding it challenging to understand this new identity? Are you experiencing the daily struggle of ADHD symptoms or executive functioning challenges at work, home or school? Whether you’re 12 or 62, your ADHD will be as unique as each person is unique. Let’s work together to understand how ADHD shows up for you and use techniques that allow you to maximize your ADHD strengths and achieve your goals.

If you want to work with me, I am currently accepting new clients for counselling or coaching in-person and online.

A Little About Me

My favorite kind of vacation is hiking ancient pilgrim trails. There’s something magical and reassuring about walking on a path where, for centuries, thousands have walked on before me and hopefully, thousands will after me.

The last time I completed a proper hike, I spent the night dancing in the town plaza with the other pilgrims. Dancing is my thing! If you ever need a happy dance partner, I’m your gal.

Seriously… Anytime! Anywhere!
